Welcome to the 8th annual Como Shootout a premier basketball event in Columbia, Missouri, where high school teams from across the region compete, learn, and grow. Join us for an action-packed weekend filled with competitive games, expert-led workshops, and networking opportunities that prepare student-athletes for success on and off the court.

BASKETBALL GAMES

The COMO Shootout is an annual basketball tournament held in Columbia, Missouri, featuring high school teams from the region. The event provides a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and gain exposure in a competitive environment. In previous years, participating teams have included local schools such as Hickman High School, Battle High School, and Rock Bridge High School.

Success in sports is just one piece of the puzzle. LearnYou prepares student-athletes for both college athletics and their journey beyond the game. Below are our subjects that we will be covering this year.

College Recruitment & Readiness: We guide athletes through the complexities of NCAA/NAIA eligibility, scholarship opportunities, and the admissions process to ensure they are prepared for the next level.
Workshops on Identity Beyond Sport: Many athletes struggle to see themselves outside of their sport. Our workshops help them build confidence, explore career paths, and develop skills that translate to success in life beyond athletics.
Professional & Personal Growth: From financial literacy and leadership training to mental health and career development, we provide tools that empower athletes to thrive in any field.

The event will be held at Hickman High School, a central and accessible location for athletes in the region. Known for its strong athletic tradition and excellent facilities, Hickman High School provides the ideal setting for competition, training, and educational workshops.
